For Valterra Platinum, SA Event Décor created an elegant VIP dining setting at GIBS Business School, bringing together refined floral arrangements, natural textures and carefully selected table accessories. The result was a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere where every detail had a purpose.
The design combined soft ivory linens, natural woven placemats, white crockery, gold napkin rings and olive-green glassware. Warm timber furniture complemented the palette, adding character and warmth to the setting.
Each element contributed something different. The woven placemats introduced texture, the gold accents added a subtle touch of luxury, and the green goblets echoed the foliage in the centrepieces. Together, these details created a cohesive tablescape without unnecessary ornamentation.
The centrepieces brought the tables to life. White orchids, with their graceful stems and delicate petals, were paired with lush tropical leaves, eucalyptus, fine foliage and tall architectural greenery.
The contrast between the orchids’ softness and the foliage’s sculptural forms gave the arrangements depth, movement and natural elegance. Even the unopened buds added interest, making each arrangement feel organic and thoughtfully composed.
The flowers remained the focal point without overwhelming the table, allowing guests to appreciate their beauty while leaving space for comfortable dining and conversation.
