The Brief

Valterra Platinum, formerly Anglo American Platinum, required an elegant VIP dining setting at GIBS Business School that reflected the prestige of the occasion while providing a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere for guests. The objective was to create a refined corporate dining experience through considered floral styling, coordinated table settings and premium finishing touches. The design needed to complement the venue while balancing sophistication with practicality, ensuring the tables remained functional for dining and conversation. The main challenge was creating visual impact without excessive ornamentation, using white orchids, natural textures, olive-green glassware and warm timber furniture to achieve a cohesive, understated luxury aesthetic.

The Décor & Execution

SA Event Décor transformed the dining space at GIBS Business School into an elegant VIP setting for Valterra Platinum through carefully coordinated table styling and floral design. Crisp ivory linens, white crockery, woven placemats, gold napkin rings and olive-green glassware created a sophisticated tablescape, complemented by warm timber furniture. The centrepieces featured graceful white orchids paired with tropical leaves, eucalyptus and sculptural greenery, adding natural height and visual interest without obstructing guests’ views. Every element was selected to work harmoniously with the others, creating an atmosphere of understated luxury.
