Gala Dinner | Red, Blue, Purple, Green and Silver

Overview

This décor and colour scheme allows you to choose whether you wish to have all dining tables dressed identically, or in varying combinations of red, blue, purple, green and silver, giving you a repeat of 5 different tables in a most strikingly elegant and sophisticated setting.

Kindly also note that SA Event Décor would be happy to vary the décor described below, or to customise your gala dinner décor entirely, in consultation with you.

Pre Drinks Area

The cocktail tables will be covered in stretch fabric, up lit from within by par can lighting. Tables will be made up with stretch fabric, in most of the various colours.
In the middle of each table, the centre piece will be made up of a large, round mirror, with a crystal lantern in its centre, further enhancing the glow from the unlit tables.  Rose petals will be scattered around the lantern.

A portion of the pre-dinner drinks area may optionally be set aside for photographs to be taken. A suitable backdrop will be provided.  A full bar can also be placed in the pre-dinner area, should you so choose.

Entrance Area

The entrance to the main venue will be created with a four-posted, draped gazebo-type structure. The gazebo draping will be done in white organza, up lit with red lighting, which, when combined with a red carpet, provides a elegant, soft red invitation to enter - your guests have a gala, red carpet entrance, making their way between roped stanchions on both sides of the carpet.

The sides of the gazebo can also be detailed with the subtle sparkle of crystal curtains.

Main Function Area

All the walls will be draped in long black, fire retardant-treated material.  In front of this draping, SA Event Décor will artfully arrange sections of deep red draping, pulled together
into softly gathered curtains, tied with decorative ropes and tassels.
Fairy lights and/or ceiling draping may optionally be included..

Tables and Chairs

The main tables will be dressed in 5 different base colours – red, blue, purple, green and silver.  Flocked taffeta or crushed velvet may be used.
On top of the table cloths, we place a double set of runners – the bottom runner will be of wide, plain taffeta, on top of which is placed a narrower flocked taffeta runner.  This adds texture and allows the colour of the bottom runner to show through subtly.

Silver under plates highlight each place setting, with folded serviettes in silver serviette rings, or detailed with ribbon, are placed upon each under plate.  Silver table number stands, with inserts to be printed by the client, will be placed on each table.  Silver goblets accompany the venue's wine glasses – if available from the venue, the addition of a matching coloured wine glass beautifully enhances the table setting.

All chairs will be dressed in matching covers, and detailed with a taffeta sash and a rose threaded into the sash knot.

Centrepiece

SA Event Décor utilises 3 different centre piece arrangements for the different table settings, which stylishly compliment one another.

A round mirror is placed in the centre of the table, with additional elements which enhance the sophisticated colours and reflect twinkling light.

1  Upon the mirror, we place a glass Alida vase, filled with roses having their buds tightly arranged, and a scattering of rose petals and crystal beads around the base.  Candles and/or  T light candles may be included.

2  A 1.2 metre glass candelabra with hanging crystals is placed on the mirror, again with rose petal and beads scattered around the base, and optional T-light candles.

3  A tall glass vase, with rosebuds in tightly arranged, placed upon the centre mirror, with a scattering of petals and beads, ditto T-lights.

Mosaic mirror vases can also be used most effectively, sparkling as they reflect ambient light and candle light, and adding to the smart elegance of the setting.
